Can I use the track whenever I want? 
 

The Dirt Track will now only be open during scheduled events. The Crawler Track will be open 24/7.

I am not a member can I use the track or crawling area? 

 

Of course! All events or open days can be attended by non-members, we ask for a donation as per the pricing page for all non-members

Can Kids use the track? 

 

Yes and we encourage it! Kids will be able to use the track with other kids on race days or open days. If your kids are new to the sport, please contact us and we will endeavor to open the track for private use so they can learn the basics. 

 

Can I use any RC Car that I have? 
​

Within reason yes!  On club open days, any RC car 1:8 and smaller can be used on the track. 

For the Club Race days, the classes are set and very specific.

 

Note* If we notice any RC Cars with tires that may damage the track we may ask for those tires to be swapped.

 

What if its raining or wet on a scheduled event day?

​

In most cases we will reschedule the event. We will post on Facebook if we this happens. 

​

Do you Supply Power?

 

At this stage, WARCCC is unable to supply power for the charging of batteries. This is been actively looked into and as soon as we have a solution it will be available to all competitors.   

I can't attend every race meeting will that mean I can't win the championship? 
 

Not at all, we will take the top 9 results, meaning that you have two drop rounds available.

Are there bathrooms? 

 

Unfortunately not, however, BP service station is close who has toilet facilities.

Do I need a transponder? 

 

You only need a transponder for Club Race Days. We may run the timing system on open days if we have members available to run the system. 

​

Are there prizes for the championship? 

 

Yes! We will have prizes and trophies at the conclusion of the 2020 Club Race Days.

Will there be more events? 
​
Yes! As we move forward and find that we are able to keep up with Maintenance, we will have more open days, Friday Night Laps or special events.

What happens on Club Race Day

 

Racing starts at 10am, with drivers briefing around 9:45am. The track will be open to practice from 9am. You will need a Transponder and understand the NZRCA rules. Each class will have two qualifyings followed by one main. 

​

What happens on an Open Day

 

Gates will open to the public at 10am and close at 4pm.  If the timing system is available we will run timing. Otherwise, we will follow the classes as outlined on the events page. With each class getting 15mins of track time per cycle. 

​

What happens on Friday Night Laps

 

Gates will open at 5:30pm.  The track will be open for laps until 8pm. At 8pm the track will close and all those that attended Friday Night Laps are required to help with Maintenance for an hour or less.
